- Supported Protocols: RPC over HTTPS, POP, SMTP and IMAP

RPC over HTTPS (Remote Procedure Call through SSL Secured HTTP) is an encrypted connection mode (using an industry standard 128bit SSL certificate) that allows Outlook to connect to M2Technology Exchange servers as if they were located on the same "local" network. We also provide standard POP, SMTP and IMAP protocols. *PLEASE NOTE: RPC over HTTPS requires Windows XP or later.
- Secure Tier 4 Data Center

All MS Exchange Servers are hosted in a Tier 4 data center — an advanced, robust location to securely contain the network. The data center is equipped with redundant systems for cooling, power and fire suppression, and utilizes multiple distribution paths for connectivity and fault tolerance. The cabling infrastructure provides a redundant backbone, and "human access" is secured with biometric readers and single-person entryways.
- Storage Area Network (SAN) Architecture

The Exchange Hosting Network is built upon a Storage Area Network (SAN) architecture, allowing direct access of remote computer storage devices such as disk array controllers, CD arrays and tape libraries for all Exchange Servers. This allows storage devices to appear as locally attached to each operating system instance.

Each MS Exchange Hosting account is given 25 GB of total disk storage per user. This provides ample space for messaging, calendars, task lists, notes and business contacts. If additional space is required, easily add 25 GB increments by purchasing additional user accounts. M2Technology Exchange Hosting also provides the ability to allocate disk space based on individual requirements. For instance, if you purchase three Exchange Hosting accounts, you will have a total of 75GB of storage that can be allocated between accounts (e.g. 10GB + 15GB + 50GB = 75GB total).

Each Microsoft Exchange Hosting account includes an easy to use Exchange Hosted Services Administrative Control Panel. This provides Administrators and individual users the ability to self-manage their Hosted Exchange account.

For users that do not require the advanced features of Hosted Exchange Services, we provide standard POP3 account using IMAP, with a full 1GB of disk storage. Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus protection is included. Access your account using Outlook Web Access (OWA) our standard MS Outlook. *PLEASE NOTE: POP3 Accounts do not provide ActiveSync functionality or the sharing capabilities of M2Technology Hosted Exchange Services.
- Exchange E-mail Forwarders:

For an additional fee you can create MS Exchange E-mail Forwarders that will redirect in-bound messages to an external mailbox.

To take advantage of the benefits of M2Technology Hosted Exchange Services, we suggest that the following applications be installed on your computer:
Web Browser Requirements:
- Internet Explorer 7 or higher.
- Safari 4.0 (to access Outlook Web Access light version)
- Mozilla Firefox 3.6 or higher (to access Outlook Web Access light version)
*Please Note: Additional Web Browsers may work, however, we cannot guarantee that they will function correctly.
Operating System Requirements:
- Windows XP (with SP2) or higher
- Mac OS X or higher.
Data/Internet Connection Requirements:
- Minimum ISDN line or higher. (Microsoft Terminal Services is NOT supported)
- For mobile device users, an applicable data plan from your wireless carrier
- ActiveSync or BlackBerry Synchronization features
Software Requirements For Advanced Exchange Features:
- Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010
- Entourage 2008, or Mail, iCal, Address Book for Snow Leopard
